Interactive Cognitive Modelling Agents - Potential and Challenges
نویسنده
چکیده
Interactive cognitive modelling agents are defined here as diagnostic agents that involve human learners in diagnostic dialogues and extract a picture of the learner's cognition in terms of beliefs, misunderstandings, misconceptions, and reasoning. This paper is written both as a reflection on our recent work on interactive open learner modelling, which is a specific and fairly simplified interactive cognitive modelling method, and as a proposal for developing a framework for interactive cognitive modelling agents. We discuss advantages of the approach and outline pitfalls with the initial architecture suggesting possible research techniques to tackle these problems.

THE DESIGN, MODELING AND EVALUATION OF POTENTIAL HIV PROTEASE INHIBITORS USING BLITZ, AN INTERACTIVE COMPUTER GRAPHICS WORKING TOOL
Several nonpeptide small molecules were designed as potential inhibitors of HIV protease and their structures were constructed by computer-aided molecular modeling and docked iwo the active site of HIV protease. Models of the complexes of inhibitors and the HIV protease were refined using nonbonded and H-bonding terms. The refined energy of selected complexes showed that the designed inhib...
متن کاملAgent-Augmented Co-Space: Toward Merging of Real World and Cyberspace
Co-Space refers to interactive virtual environment modelled after the real world we are situated in. Through realistic 3D modelling and animation technologies, Co-Space simulates the real world in terms of look-and-feel of our physical surrounding. With the advancement in pervasive sensor network, Co-Space may also capture and mirror the happening in the physical world in real time. The develop...

Background and objective: Audience communication with digital media is bilateral and interactive. Book publishing in non-printed and digital formats has also created the feature of interactivity in books. This paper presents an attempt to identify the challenges of creating interactive childrenchr('39')s books in Iran by evaluating childrenchr('39')s interactive books published in Iran and the ...
متن کاملRevisiting Character-Based Affective Storytelling under a Narrative BDI Framework
Belief-Desire-Intention (BDI) is a well-known cognitive theory, especially in the field of Software Agents. Modelling characters using software agents has been proven to be a suitable approach for obtaining emergent and autonomous behaviours in Interactive Storytelling. In this paper it is claimed that an effective extension of previous models to the BDI framework is useful for designing intell...
متن کاملSTyLE-OLM: Interactive Open Learner Modelling
There is a strong argument in Artificial Intelligence in Education which advocates that computer-based learning systems need to adapt to the needs of learners if they are to provide for effective personalised instruction (Self, 1999a). Diagnosing a learner's cognitive capacity is a crucial issue in building adaptive systems. We have explored an interactive open learner modelling (IOLM) approach...
